Welcome to the SCVRA

About Us: The SCVRA is an Amateur Radio Club serving St. Croix County, and Pierce County in Wisconsin as well as Washington County in Minnesota. Most of our members are from Hudson, River Falls, Baldwin, Beldenville, and the surrounding area. Our club call sign is K9SCV.

Contact Us: If you have questions about the club, please contact us by clicking on this link or contact us on Facebook.

Join Our Email Lists:

  • Announcements – Announcements about meetings and club activities.
  • Discussion – An email list for discussing ham radio related topics.

Monthly Meetings: Our club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. In 2024, our meeting location has been changed to the River Falls Fire Department (enter via the small door on the left side of the big garage doors on 2nd street) because the Hudson Government Center is being remodeled. Members and non-members alike are welcome! You do NOT need a license to attend. If you are interested in getting your ham radio license, we have friendly, knowledgeable people who can help you.

Weekly Net: The St. Croix Valley Friendly Net meets most Tuesdays at 7pm on our Roberts repeater. All amateur radio operators with a valid license are welcome and encouraged to check in. We handle messages, make small talk, buy/sell/trade ham radio gear, and demonstrate our readiness should an ARES / RACES activation be needed. If you are a new ham and are feeling nervous about checking in, please don’t be . We’re a very friendly bunch and will help you learn the ropes. The procedures we use to run the net will become second nature in time. We don’t expect you to know it all and it is perfectly OK to make mistakes!
